Larisa Kayserman, MD
Dr. Larisa Kayserman is a board-certified ophthalmologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology who brings together advanced fellowship training in retina-vitreous diseases and surgery with more than 25 years of leadership at The Valley Hospital, where she has served as Associate Director of Ophthalmology since 1998. After earning her BA in Chemistry from New York University with distinction, she went on to graduate Cum Laude from the State University of New York at Downstate Medical School, where she was honored with membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Her residency in ophthalmology at SUNY Downstate/Kings County Medical Center culminated in her role as Chief Resident before completing a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery. In addition to her clinical practice and hospital leadership, Dr. Kayserman has been widely involved in teaching, lecturing, and presenting on vitreo-retinal conditions, extending her impact beyond patient care into medical education and mentorship.
